By CO Flyer from Western Colorado on 02/27/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify Cons: Small Capacity, Zippers Break Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice pack but not as tough as some of the other High Sierra Products. I had it loaded and one of the zippers failed. Overall its great because both parts fit in the overheads of the small regional jets. Recommended for weekend trips or any time you want to go light. The wheels are great for moving through airports. Its just ok as a backpack.
By Fishdoc from Painesville, Ohio on 02/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag seems to combine a good amount of storage space with the capacity to be broken down into two separate bags. Very good concept. Can't wait to give it a real test.
Excellently Convenient Carryall By Gram from Salt Lake City on 02/10/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Easy to reassemble fast, Easy to separate parts, Good Capacity, High Quality Cons: Zippers are a bit fussy Best Uses: Carry-on flight bag Describe Yourself: Grannie, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I worried about buying this because of comments, but they were wrong. Zip gently, and smooth out fabric bunches, the zips are fine. One comment said one set of shoulder straps--Wrong, look carefully. Either section fits under plane seat. I carried computer & work product, purse, cell phone, bluetooth, and all the chargers, coat, magazines, books, water, candy, gloves, hat, meds, lunch. No worries, pulled when convenient, backpacked 1/2 when in a rush, zipped apart for overhead storage, kept small pack & my purse for access to books & foods; carried the little pack, pulled the big one off the plane, then zipped and pulled down the airport halls. Took a weight off my arms, totally no worries.
By Mom of 2 flying from sedalia, mo on 02/03/2009 Best Uses: Family Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this for our trip to hawaii. I needed something I could slip my laptop in I bought a simple sleeve that slides in from top and the zip on/off backpack will be great once we get there for day trips. I can wheel it or pick up and run depending on our needs. my purse will be the backpack part so its one less thing to carry and manage in airport.. zipping apart once we get on plane.
This is as good as I thought it would be By vlaprof from Iowa City, IA on 02/02/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Career, Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: One of my students has this product and I loved it, so bought one for myself. It's a great travel bag and a recent whirlwind trip to Boston and NYC on plane, trains, and automobiles it proved its worth! The only thing I thought could be better was changing the design so that the telescoping poles for the pulling handle don't take up so much room inside the already small interior.
By travels light from nashville, TN on 01/26/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Great carry-on, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought one for myself, but couldn't talk my husband into one. So - who appropriated it right away? You guessed it. So I bought another. Very versatile, lots of pockets, easily carried, perfect carry-on. Baggage handlers can be hard on the zip pulls, but that's more their fault than the fault of the bag.
I have 3 of these , SUPPER PRODUCT By GT Guy from Fredericksburg.Va. on 01/19/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a carry on and small pack to carry grear while sightseeing.
By Jules from MI on 01/19/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love it! We have 2 of these and they work great.
It is easy to use for an airline carry on. The zip off back pack works great, if it is really packed and won't quite fit in the over head on the plane, it zips off and can you can easily put under the seat in front of you. So it is like 2 carry on but only counts as 1!!
By kcee from Asheville, NC on 01/13/2009 Pros: Dual duty top section, Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased this bag to replace my carry-on, which is good, but wider than plane isles. This one is narrow enough that it should roll right to my seat. I have at least one overseas flight each year, plus a few smaller trips. Have a LOT of basics that I like to have with me, in case checked luggage doesn't make to my destination. This bag has 1/3 more space than my older bag when including the backpack. Like that dual purpose of zip-off portion. My trips often include some short hiking outings. For our serious hiking vacations, I'll bring my regular pack, but for short hikes, this seems ideal. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it seems to be close to ideal. Appears as though real thought was used to create a versatile, dependable bag.
By Casual bag user from Oakland/East Bay, CA on 01/07/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity Describe Yourself: Career, Comfort-Oriented, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Backpack is actually the bag attachment rather than the main bag which I thought it would be. So you cannot use the bag in whole as a backpack but only the 2nd bag attachment by itself if that makes sense. Overall, good bag for the sale price.
