By WeCycleEurope from Columbus, Ohio on 05/18/2009 Pros: Easy to Transport, Large Capacity, Lightweight Cons: Easily punctured, Insufficient zippers Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We have purchased multiple High Sierra Rolling Duffels since Sierra Trading Post has been carrying this product.
While the bag is designed well, its durability is no longer excellent. As noted in recent reviews, the quality and durability of the zippers is simply inadequate for the reality of current airline luggage handling/abuse.
Of the last three duffels we've recently purchased, the main compartment zippers have all failed and/or have been literally ripped-off after one or two flights. The zippers used are simply too fragile for a moderately packed bag with the rigors of current airline travel.
By traveler from South Carolina on 05/12/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy to Transport, Large Capacity Cons: Weak Seems, Zipper pulls weak Best Uses: Airline Travel, Extended Travel, Short Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great bag with lots of well organized compartments and handles. Looks good and travels well. Zipper pulls are weak and are not lasting as long as the rest of the bag. Nice price!

It is not bulky and the zippers work easily and seem sturdy just like the material that it is made with. I love it!

Airlines can brutalize the bag, which they did. Since the price is reasonable I got a second one.

Needed a second duffel in a hurry - bought one locally. Bad idea.
On the OTHER bag (not this one), the first trip across the country, the plastic around the wheels broke, and the second trip, the handle jammed.
We took that bag back, and ordered ANOTHER High Sierra Rolling Duffel Bag -- and we are THRILLED!
This is a great duffel.
