Does not hold up to travel By world traveler from S America on 01/28/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After just 3 flights, my bag did not hold up to the stresses of international travel. The nylon is not strong enough and has a tear in it and the main zipper is broken and went off the track. Also, there are so many compartments, you have to have about 6 luggage locks, which is a pain!
I did contact High Sierra and they will send a free replacement, so it is a good company.

A good quality, versatile bag By therivercat from Springfield, MO on 12/29/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Extended Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second rolling duffle by High Sierra that I've purchased for my son. He wore the first one out after 4 years of extensive airline travel and wanted another. I got this one at a very good price.
Poor quality. Very weak zippers. By Bella from New York on 12/14/2008 Cons: Bulky, Not Enough Padding, Weak Zippers Best Uses: Extended Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The end zipper was damaged and the bag was scuffed badly in several spots in the very first direct flight trip! A plastic box which was padded with clothing was also cracked. The main zipper broke while we were packing for the second trip. It is obvious that the build quality is very poor. The extra large size of 36" also made it more susceptible to damages by luggage handling system. I ordered an Eagle Creek bag last week, and took this bag to the dump this morning.
By macdaddy from steamboat springs , co. on 11/12/2008 Cons: Cheap wheels - break Describe Yourself: Professional Guide What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Its a great size for one bag adventures but the bottm is flimsy and the wheels are cheap. They broke on the first outing. Do not recommend!!!!!

By Alaska diver from Fairbanks, Alaska on 10/17/2008 Cons: Fabric failure, Weak Zippers Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered one of these bags and when a zipper failed and the fabric tore on its first trip out, I returned it and ordered a replacement thinking I got a lemon. The second one was worse and 2 zippers broke on its first trip, so I returned it too. This bag comes with cheap fabric that won't survive airport baggage handling systems and zippers that fail without any stress on them. I got a cheaper bag from Eddie Bauer like this many years ago and I'm still using it after 200,000 miles of flying.
