High quality duffel at a bargain price By hank from Spokane WA on 11/28/2007 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second High Sierra duffel I have purchased from your company and once again I find this product comparable with other brands that cost twice as much.
By Evil Queen from NJ on 11/18/2007 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy to handle, GREAT Capacity Cons: Easy to be overweight, Heavy - 10 lbs empty Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations Describe Yourself: Adventurous, Bargain hunter, Comfort-oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Owned this bag about 3 yrs. (fly about 5x/yr) and Continental just ripped it so I'm buying again. Didn't think I'd like the drop bottom but its nice to be able to separate shoes, dirty clothes, sports gear, etc. Lashing straps are handy for a jacket. Never used the backpack straps. Exterior pockets handy for gear you want easy access to & large enough for a pair of shoes. Wish it could stand on its end (on the wheels) without leaning on something. Overall, I really like this bag.
Space Great - Durability Stinks By Mitch from CA on 11/15/2007 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity Cons: Tears Easily, Weak Seams, Zippers Break Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had 2! I do alot of international travel.
Pro: love the bottom compartment. Great for shoes etc. Holds alot. Easy to access items.
Cons: First one - wheels broke in Italy. Second one - 3 zippers and the back support broke in China.
I would try a third only because I like the design but durability isn't worth the cheap price especially when your luggage breaks and you are out of the country.
By Loves to travel from Mentor, Ohio on 10/27/2007 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Good Capacity, Good looks Cons: No leg to stand on, Tears Easily Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Love a bargain, Loves adventure, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pros: Very stylish. Compartments are very useful. Kept jacket and less used gear in drop bottom, more heavily used goods in top, hiking boots at one end, personal items in the other. Drop bottom is extra secured w/ web straps that snap over zipper. Bag was coveted by others! Suited my purpose, but would be unlikely to order one like this for frequent use.
Cons: I ordered this for a hectic 2-week trip w/ at least 20 luggage transfers. Apparent rub thru at one end within 3 days. Does not stand w/o needing to lean against a wall. If fully loaded, dimensions exceed most airlines' max. If fully loaded, weight will most certainly be over.
By Gia from Omaha, NE on 10/13/2007 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity Cons: Tears Easily, Zippers Break Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: While this bag did make it through two of years of serious traveling, that is where its life expectancy ends. I love the usefulness of this bag, but now i find myself looking for better made replacement as both end pocket zippers are broken and the fabric is also pulling away from the zipper on the center section.
For folks who will use this a couple of times a year, this may be fine. But for serious travelers who do not want zippers breaking at the airport, this will not do.
Great product - a staple in our house By Becky from Wayzata, MN on 09/12/2007 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Cons: Zipper sometimes stick Best Uses: Lots of ski racing trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Love a bargain, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great product. Used by me and my two sons, 16 & 18 for ski racing trips and ski racing camps. The bags get a lot of very hard use. We had to replace last years bags though due to so much use.
