By wes canoe head from Minneapolis, Mn on 10/21/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Highly water resistant, Strong Material, Tight Closure Cons: Not for a small person Best Uses: Paddling, Portaging, Sailing Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This dry/portage pack carries a very large volume of stuff. It will carry 70+ pounds w/o ripping.
It does the job in the BWCAW for keeping the number of portages to a minimum in lake to lake travel.
It is strong for its weight, dry, and relatively comfortable to hump over the trail.
It could also be good for rafting adventures and river camping. Not designed for back packing.

By camperdown from pittsfield , MA on 09/28/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure Best Uses: Backpacking, Paddling Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: haven't tried this out on paddles- but would consider taking if we've got a big canoe- it would hold alot- but then might be too heavy. i'm actually thinking i'll use it to store things in at the cabin- i need to take a bunch of stufff out each year to make way for renters and think these are the perfect solution- back straps for help in carrying- will keep water and critters out when i store them below the cabin.
By Buzz from Fort Collins on 09/01/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We went on a 7 day canoe trip and the dry bag held all our things. It was a little heavy so I would not hike with it, but for canoeing it sure beats having a bunch of bags that you must tie in the boat. Super glad we bought it.
Very Large Waterproof Gear-Bag / Perfect By frado from Atlanta, Ga. on 08/31/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Very Large, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bag is capable of holding lots of gear and keeping it dry.
Good design but thin vinyl By K-Man from Michigan on 08/30/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Good design but the material is much thinner than I anticipated. It held up ok on a multi-day canoe trip but I also didn't toss it around when loading/unloading and stayed mindful of where/what position the opening was in. Next time, I'll spend the few extra dollars for a more durable product that I can have confidence in.
