Huge
By bamacumminsVerified Reviewer from TN on 04/21/2009
Pros:
Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure
Cons:
Bulky
Best Uses:
Paddling
Describe Yourself:
Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This thing is huge and I assume it will be waterproof, haven't tried it yet. I agree with others, if you stuffed this thing full, the straps look inadequate for the weight and size. Otherwise, stuff and carry and lay in the canoe.

huge convenient bag
By DakSkill from buffalo, ny on 04/11/2009
Pros:
Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof
Describe Yourself:
Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This bag is huge (size large). Will hold everything for a person's week long canoe excursion; great for car-top; general caryall dry bag with benefit of shoulder straps; 2 top and 2 side compressions straps are excellent; stong seams. However, one of my bags was missing a buckle for a side compression strap--will need to return. Next size down would have been perfect for my needs--extended weekend trips.

Large bag, but not the real thing
By Will the Thrill from South Lake Tahoe, CA on 04/06/2009
Pros:
Good Capacity, Waterproof
Cons:
Cheap rubber fabric, Inferior materials, Light duty only
Best Uses:
Paddling
Describe Yourself:
Professional Guide
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought this bag last year and used it twice before loading it up for a Grand Canyon trip, side by side with a drybag (brand) that most pros use. on the third day of the trip, one of the sewn patches holding the strap tore off. And the material abraded through under normal use. With some duct tape on the hole (inside and out) the bag remained dry for the rest of the trip, but the other strap patch ripped as well (making it extremely difficult to move). the strap tails are not sewn so it is easy to lose the buckles. back at home, I repaired the patches with real D-rings so I expect to get more use out of the bag, but without loading it very full or heavy. the backpack straps are cheap and so are the webbing straps. Light duty only!! this is not the real material.

Good big bag but failed after a while
By tele-mon from Vail, Colorado on 04/05/2009
Pros:
Good Capacity, Waterproof
Cons:
Leaks, Weak Seams
Best Uses:
Paddling, Sailing
Describe Yourself:
Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This bag was great on it's first and second multi-day canoe trips. Since then, it has started to fail: the straps have pulled out, and the seams on the bottom have started to leak and tear. I use it now as a laundry bag. Still, good value for the price, but it won't last you forever if you stuff it full of heavy gear and toss it around camp or river bank, which you will do eventually.

I bought this bag to put my sleeping bag, tent, mattress, and pillow in for my Alaska motorcycle trip. The bag easliy holds all of these items. It can hold more than I have room for on the bike. Nice quality, especially for the price.
