By KT from boston, ma on 11/12/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've used Asolo boots for the past ten years. They fit me better than any other boot. My last pair was regular width and were causing pain in my knees. I found out I am actually a 1E in width and ordered a wide pair. Presto, no more pain. I use these every day as a workboot for landscape construction. the rubber (band) was a selling point for me. Started stiff but feel great after a 3 day break in. The insert is a bit stiff in the toebox and toes ache a bit at the end of the day, but arch and heel support seem fine. I expect them to last as long as any other Asolo boot I've had over the years (soles wear out after a season on concrete surfaces)

The first day I had them, they spent the day in the snow. My feet stayed dry and warm. They felt great the first time I put them on. I wish they made them black, save a little bit of work. Great boot.

By seek the truth from Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 11/07/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just received them-did 5 miles of hill, rocky, leaf covered trails. They saved my ankles a couple times. I was concerned about getting the correct size for my ladies size 12B foot. The mens 11.5 is perfect-allowing room for my squared off toes(some shoes are too tapered) and the socks I will wear with them. I've been hiking in Keen Targhee II mens size 11 but am glad for the extra toe room in these boots for the descent portion of an upcoming backpacking trip.
