Lots of bang for the bucks By RJ from Ontario, CA on 06/16/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Extended break in time Best Uses: Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Environmentalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a tough boot that handles tough terrain. The rubber rand around the sole and lower portion of the boot limits the impact felt when hiking through rocky terrain. This boot will be used for thirty days of backpack archery elk hunting in Colorado and hiking the mountaineering trail to the summit of Mt. Whitney.
