By mbnow from MA on 11/08/2008 Pros: Appeared well made until Best Uses: Keep postal company busy Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was able to close the blade with minimum pressure WITHOUT using the locking mechanism. Seems very dangerous if you think it is secure. someones going to lose a finger or 2.
Sent it back. Didn't exchange, it may have been a one time flaw, but knife was kind of heavy too.

They liked the sharp blade, and the saw blade for field dressing white-tailed deer.
However, one of the three purchased is almost impossible to close, as the blade lock requires a vice-like hand to make it work. so, I was very disappointed about the poor construction, and need to return it. But the nephew wants a replacement, as he likes the overall quality of the blades, the size, and the saw blade concept.
The other two recipients loved their's.
