Great snowshoes for a great price By Active woman from Vermont on 01/31/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Flat Terrain, Icy Conditions, Off Trail, Rolling Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these snowshoes to give the sport a try. I can walk and run comfortably in these with a normal gait (no Frankenstein walk). The quick-release heel strap is handy for ease in removing them. The adjustment straps have loosened a couple times, but if the binding clip is layed flat, the straps stay secured. I can adjust the straps without removing my gloves. I've tried these on packed trails, off-trail in deep snow in the woods and on an icy hill climb. They worked great in all conditions; the crampons bit into the ice and I felt totally stable and secure. Oh, and you can't beat the price on this site!!
By Sun Girl from Saratoga Springs, NY on 01/27/2009 Pros: Compact Design, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Flat Terrain, Groomed Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these snowshoes are great ! I used them on packed trails and they allow a natural stride. I don't think they would be good for deep/fresh snow. The straps did loosen up a bit and I had to stop and tighten them a few times. Great product. Great price !

By Mrs. Active from La Motte, IA on 01/23/2009 Pros: Compact Design, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Cons: Straps loosen somewhat Best Uses: All Terrain, Icy Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great product for the money. I enjoy these snowshoes but wish they had a little better fastner on them to keep them snug. Still, their ideal for the casual / recreational user. They're very lightweight, but durable. Easy to get around on flat or steep terrain.
By MJ from Coventry, RI on 01/22/2009 Pros: Compact Design, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I found them light and easy to use. Getting them on the second time (after I had adjusted the bindings) was a bit difficult, had to really shove my boots in, but manageable. One front toe binding loosened up a bit and had to be readjusted while trekking. Otherwise loved the ease of walking and featherwieght, a big improvement from my last pair.
There must be a better binding system. By Maggie from Albuquerque, NM on 01/20/2009 Pros: Compact Design, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The bindings came loose continually. I was forced to tie knots in the straps and was unsuccessful. Otherwise, a very nice product. But showshoes are to be walked on and I couldn't. Otherwise, shoes were great.
I feel it is very accurate. By Carol P. from Binghamton, New York on 01/19/2009 Pros: Attach Securely, Compact Design, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After only 1 outing, I was pleased overall with the snowshoes. I have previously been a x country skier, but I feel I will enjoy this new activity. I particularly like the stable feeling on my feet.
If only the binding were good By Cold Minnesotan from Stillwater, MN on 01/15/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Off Trail, Steep Pitches Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes are small enough to do some good up and down hiking and the cleats really keep you stable. The binds kept coming loose to the point the shoes fell off three times. The bindings are so long you have to triple them up to keep from stepping on them. There is no way to keep them tight.
