By Jean from Minneapolis on 03/11/2008 Pros: Attach Securely, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Deep Snow, Icy Conditions, Off Trail Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these to use when I walk my dogs and the snow is deep. They are truly a pleasure to have and make the going so much easier. Just wish the toe straps could be tighter on my boots..they move around a bit more than they should, and my feet aren't that small.
I picked the right year to buy snowshoes By Woozle's mom from Trout Lake WA on 02/02/2008 Pros: Attach Securely, Compact Design, Easy Entry & Exit, Good for a beginner me, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: All Terrain, Flat Terrain, Icy Conditions, Rolling Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have over 5' of snow on the ground at our place this year and I couldn't get to the henhouse to feed the chickens without these--much less walk the dog. I bought the 22", since I am a smaller person and they are a more appropriate size for me. In very deep new snow they do sink in, but it's all fun to me. I can hike in them at almost summer speeds under most circumstances.
By leggy from wisconsin on 01/04/2008 Pros: Attach Securely, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Flat Terrain, Icy Conditions, Off Trail Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The best part about these? NO ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.
I bought them as a gift for my sister who had to give up skiing due to a bad hip. I was afraid upon giving them to her she'd need to purchase poles or special boots, etc. I could not have afforded add-ons, so it was great she didn't have to fork out more $$$ to use them.
My son gave me a pair as well --- we've just had a ball cruising around the neighborhood on them!
And the people in Sierra's call center are awesome! It's just been a very pleasant experience overall.

By John Lu from Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada on 12/29/2007 Pros: Attach Securely, Compact Design, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used to hate snowshoeing in elementary school. The traditional leather models sank in the snow, the bindings fit poorly causing the shoes to flop around, and they were too heavy for grade school kids.Fast forward 34 years later and these Redfeathers have completely changed my mind about snowshoes. Light, easy to put on, secure -- they'll make the winter go faster. My wife and I tested them by making paths for our dogs in the deep snow in our backyard; now we're ready to tackle the mountain trails.Thank you, [...] for a great product at a ridiculously low price [...]
