By Sandra from Indiana on 08/26/2009 Pros: Compact, Opens Easily Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've carried this around, but can't say that I've needed it yet for rain. It's very lightweight and compact; has a well-made sheath for storing and carrying. I thought the shaft would be metal; it seems more like fiberglass or something. This would account for the light weight. Opens easily and is better for sliding into a totebag or briefcase than my other umbrellas. Better-constructed for the price than anything else to be found.

Too flimsy to survive a sudden downpour- By Retiree from Colorado on 08/14/2009 Cons: Difficult To Open, Inverts Easily Best Uses: Light Rain, Sun Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I find it hard to open, and it sometimes doesn't want to "catch" in the right position and inverts. The material is very thin. I will use it as an emergency umbrella and be glad that it doesn't rain much where I live.

By Cram Electro from Sarasota, Florida on 01/31/2009 Pros: Compact, Does Its Job, Dries Quickly, Waterproof Cons: Difficult To Open, Inverts Easily Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although compact, it's not the smallest of the small travel umbrellas. Sometimes, it opens incorrectly and inverts, but that's easy to fix. May or may not be durable - time will tell. For the price I paid, it's a decent inexpensive travel or car umbrella.
