However, the shoe itself, once on, feels comfortable, durable and the sole is great for icy days.

That top buckle strap is a pain, but once I got them on & was sure they fit right, I took scissors & cut that strap off at the tongue, and now they're great. It took about a day to work the stiffness out of them, but no blisters. They're quiet walking, & the sole is fantastic. They'd be great motorcycle boots. They were super cute, fit in the FOOT absolutely perfectly (which is hard to do given that I have very wide feet), but the shaft of the boot is made for someone with pencil legs, not anyone with muscular calves. I could not get them zipped all the way and had to return them.

So, I removed both upper and lower buckles-they are completely unnessecary to the function of the boot.

As a busy mom w/ kiddos...its would be nicer to have been able to slide them on w/o the extra work.

The ankle buckle is a bit wacky but I can live with it. The only con is I wish I would have gotten a half size bigger. I'm usually a 6.5-7 and I bought a 7; I should have bought a 7.5.
