GREAT BOOTS! GREAT PRICE! By ForestGirl from Northwest PA on 03/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Easy To Clean, Good traction, Roomy toe box, Stable, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Motorcycle riding, Outdoor wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Budget minded, Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boots! They were just what I was looking for. It is very sloppy, slippery and snowy right now where I live and I wanted a comfortable boot, that I could wear throughout the year, with traction and some heel height.I usually dress fairly casually on my job so these were perfect.I put these on right out of the box and wore them all day without any problem, indoors and out. They go well with khakis, corduroys and jeans.I had read reviews about how stiff the leather was, but I did not find this to be the case with mine.I had also read other reviews about what a pain the top buckle was.It appears as though it was attached almost as an afterthought. But it really didn't take more than a few extra seconds to get the boots on and off again. And besides, there really wasn't anything else I had planned on doing during that time! After I got the hang of it ,it was no big deal.So if you are thinking about these boots, don't let that weird buckle thing scare you away. The only regret I had in buying these was that I couldn't get my size in the black, too!

By The shopper! from Cottonwood, AZ on 02/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The boots were purchased for being a passanger on a motorcycle. The boots were very nice looking and was disappointed because even when just trying them on, the left boot was extremly narrow and caused pain for just the minutes I had them on. Also difficult to put on.

Good Boots ! Excellent Price! By FOREST GIRL from Northwestern PA on 02/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Well Made Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor wear Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I put these on right out of the box and was pleasantly surprised.I'd read about the problems with the buckle and what a pain it was putting your foot through it.I really DID NOT find it to be a problem - even with my high instep. It's just a little different. These are cute sturdy boots with the heel height and traction I have been looking for in a casual boot. They also have a nice lightly cushioned insole that keeps them from feeling so "hard" on the bottoms of the feet. These boots are a little stiff out of the box, but what do you really expect from a sturdy , durable boot? I'm wearing mine with lightweight socks and the fit is fine. They have a nice wide toebox and they look great with jeans. I also plan on wearing them on the motorcycle when the weather gets warmer. The only thing I can think of that would have made me even happier with this purchase is being able to buy them in Black, but that color wasn't available in my size.Go ahead and try them if you are thinking about it.Don't let that "buckle" thing turn you away. For the extra 20 seconds that you might need to manipulate it, I think you will find that it is worth it !!

I am going to try cutting it off. I hope that it works.
