I didn't think for a second that the 11.5 3E size would be too small for him. Well the boots didn't fit at ALL. Way too small. Will be sending back and reluctant to ever buy Carolina boots again. A real downer.

The boot comes up above the ankle which helps keep out the snow and elements, also helps with warmth.
I bought another carolina boot from sierra for the summer months that has a lower shaft. Love the boots, great buy.
