Nice but sz off. Too small by 1 - 2 sz By FlyFish from nys on 03/17/2009 Pros: Nice wading boot but Cons: Sizing not accurate, Too small to true size Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although I would have loved these boots, they are at least 1 to 2 sizes too small to the size listed.
Basically I feel that a retailer should have known this and alerted me but instead wasted my time and sent a pair of wading boots on a $10+ round trip to upstate NY. Whatever...

By Sparky from Troy, VA on 03/03/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a size 8.5 to size 9, so, based on the reviews I read, and the recommendations to order up 1 size, ordered a size 10. The size 10 accomodated the stocking foot waders fine, so the recoommendation to order 2 sizes up, which I read in a couple of reviews, seems excessive. Haven't tried fishing with these yet, but tried them on ice and snow and the grip was impressive.
By I'm new to this fly fishing thing from Amenia, NY on 02/02/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Other comments said to buy a size larger than actual size. I have a narrow foot and they are snug with stocking foot waiters but they do fit. If you have a wide foot go with the size up. If you have narrow foot I would say to go with you actual foot size.
By fisher from redondo beach, ca on 01/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a good boot so far. They run small. I bought a size 11 for size 9 feet to allow room for thick socks and boot foot wader feet in cold weather and they fit about right (maybe a tad large but size 10 would have been prohibitively tight). I've worn them hard for a month now and they are holding up ok.
Allen Big Horn Studded Felt Sole Boots By Russ from Greensburg, PA on 01/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had previously purchased a pair of Guide Series stockingfoot chest waders at Gander Mountain. Because I'm big around the middle (260#) I and have small feet (8 1/2) I was concerned about getting a pair of waders that fit me and gave me ample room to bend over yet didn't have overly large neoprene socks to put my feet into. I was able to buy a pair of waders in an XL-Stout size with moderate sized neoprene socks and then was hoping to pick the right size felt sole boot to match it. Every thing they had in the way of boots at Gander Mountain either lacked the room to fit my neoprene socked foot into or were very expensive. I took a chance by buying these boots and followed the instructions of several people to order 2 sizes up. Although I've been an 8 1/2 most of my adult life, in recent years I've worn a size 9 street shoe. So I ordered these boots in a size 11 and low and behold they fit perfectly. The nice D-Rings on the upper 3 laces make them quite easy to put on and take off. Though I haven't had them in the water yet, I'm sure at least from a fit standpoint I'll be quite pleased with them, especially for the price. I think they arrived in just 3 days.
