By The Borg from Cary, NC on 08/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Fly tying Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Absolute essential scissors for tying small trout flies especially midges and micro patterns. Clean as close as possible cuts. Cuts very light and thin threads etc. A must for the tying bench. Perfect for modifying a fly or cliping tippets onstream. Light and small to fit in your vest or on a zinger.
If you don't have one , get it now . You need it .
By DGC from SC PA on 08/02/2009 Best Uses: Fresh Water, Traveling Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nothing special about these that would lead to preferring over standard scissors. A bit flimsy feeling. If the blades were more narrow, could have made a case for tying midges. No sharper than my other scissors, including the bent shaft reviewed elsewhere.
