Unbelievable Rod for the Money By Fishing Farmer from Maine on 07/30/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great extra rod for that trip, or to throw behind the seat of your pick-up. Casts better than rods costing ten times as much. At only [$], I bought two.

8 1/2 Ft. SCI ANGLER 2 piece graphite fl By SUTT The feather merchant from Pine Bush, NY on 05/17/2008 Pros: Accurate Casting, Durable, Good Tip Action Best Uses: Fly Fishing, SCHOOL CLASSES Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are a great replacement for the earlier SCI Angler graphite fly rods that we have been using for 8 years. I teach about 400 high school students each year so all our fly fishing equipment gets a great work out. I like the slower action of this blank . It is forgiving and good casts come to my students more quickly as timing is not as critical as in a faster action rod.
right price for beginner rod By DKT from Traverse City, MI on 04/17/2008 Pros: Accurate Casting, Good Tip Action Cons: No rod sack rod tube Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased for prize at TU banquet. Sci Anglers provides good equipment and the price here is outstanding. This is a good weight for a beginning fly angler or any angler for that matter. The length is perfect for small to medium streams and rivers. In this case, you get more than you pay for. All that is missing is rod sleeve and tube. Medium rod speed is good for learning or honing skills.
