By Raff from Medical Lake, WA on 05/20/2008 Pros: Accurate Casting, Good Tip Action, Sensitive Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Large Fish Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Having recently run over one of my S.A. 6-weight rods that I got in 2002, I found myself needing a replacement. My S.A. rods are rigged with type VI sinking line and are used specifically for lakes, where accurate casting and presentation are not huge issues. Sierra Trading Post answered the call with this rod. It casts very well for the small price tag [$]. The finish is nice, I like the dark maroon color, and the overall quality seems more than sufficient. I see nothing that indicates it won't last a lifetime, provided I don't run over it like the last one!! And I will definitely be getting another. P.S. Two of my partners, die-hard Sage enthusiasts, have had to use my S.A. rods when they forgot theirs. On both occasions they complimented my rods feel, balance and smooth casting.
