The LED light was just a bonus. The price was right.

By Uncle Mike from Grand Rapids, MI on 04/26/2009 Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The flashlight: I own a couple of Maglites and think this is a better light, comparing size for size. The knife: People who are into knives and buy lots of them of various brands know Victorinox Swiss Army Knives are among the best bargains in the knife world. Folding pocket knives seem simple, but they aren't. It takes great skill to make all the little pieces fit together precisely, but virtually every Vic has great fit and finish. Not only that, but Vics have tools that are made of proprietary alloy steels, tempered to the correct hardness for each tool. The Farmer is one of the most useful models Vic has ever produced. This set is a great buy at list price; at STP's price it's a steal.

I have bought many flashlights and knives over the years - I been accused of collecting them- and I am very happy with the purchase of this set.
By DaisyMae from Jacksonville, Fl on 08/09/2008 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First rate product, and a great collectible! Functional, tough Swiss Farmer's knife has all useful tools and none of the useless ones (dumb plastic tooth pick and flimsy tweezers are absent). Can keep knife in front pocket (too heavy for rear pocket), on hip with a holder or in a bag. Worth getting to hold onto as a gift!
