Almost perfect for a 13.3" Macbook

Heavy, Needs accessory pocket

Bottom Line:

Comments:
I was excited to snag a Crumpler bag at this great price for my new 13.3" MacBook. The green color is, happily, a little darker and richer (more olive, less lime) than it looked on the web. The bag is bigger than I expected, probably so it can accommodate slightly bigger laptops. My Mac doesn't fit quite the internal sleeve snugly--it's just a little loose. For a short person (I'm 5')") the bag itself is a little long and the shortest strap adjustment is not quite as short as would be ideal. The padded shoulder strap is a nice touch. The biggest thing missing is a secure little pocket for that accessory plug/adaptor thingy, which seems like it's going to float around in either the big main compartment or the slightly smaller outside pocket and get lost. The construction is really good. Other reviewers mention the big, loud velcro, and that's definitely true! The inside flap is long, so getting ahold of it when other stuff is packed into the bag (it's big enough to fit file folders) is awkward. Overall I'm pleased with the quality and features. I just wish it was a little smaller/shorter and had a mini-pocket.

Comments:
The Luncheon is a big too big for my MacBook 15" laptop. I wish there is a zipper at the flap opening. It would make this bag a lot more secure to carry around. I love the Crumpler material and design.

Great if you carry ONLY a laptop
By JaneVerified Reviewer from Brooklyn, NY on 04/08/2008
Pros:
Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Lightweight, Quality Construction
Cons:
no external pockets
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Shopper, Eclectic
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This bag doesn't have any outside pockets, so if you need a place to put, say, your keys, wallet, or Metrocard--stuff you'll need quick access to--you have to carry another bag or be wearing something with big pockets. To get to the main compartment you have to lift up the whole big Velcro'd flap: not convenient. Crumpler bags are great, though--nearly indestructible, and relatively cool looking--so if what you're looking for is a sturdy bag to carry *just* your laptop, then by all means get one.

Comments:
This is a really nice bag, except for the following : Even though the product's website says it will fit a 15" macbook pro, it doesn't do it well. The macbook is just a tad too long causing the lids to not close well. Because of the bad closure, there is some open gaps on the side of the bag which is bad if you live in a rainy place No organizer pockets inside, so you must have a minimalist need

Comments:
I think the picture is of the "Breakfast Buffet" bag, which is proportioned differently. This bag is a vertical messenger bag, not squarish, as in the picture. I measure mine at 15"x13"x4.5". This bag is amazingly well made and very funky. I love it for those things. It's very well padded... maybe too much so for my uses. The padding seems to take up a large hunk of the potential capacity of the bag. It holds my 15" PowerBook with plenty of room to spare vertically... but without a lot of extra room for books and papers. It has no easily accessible pockets, which makes it a bad commuter or travelling bag for me... I need access to things like keys, eye glasses, and tickets. (Others would find this great because everything's securely in the bag.) And yet, I love it. Just not the right commuter bag for me. FYI: Mine is blue; the lining is gold/orange.

I love the design of this bag. While I wouldn't use it in a corporate setting (for the most part), it's a fun and funky bag that's very well designed and constructed. The tag that came on the bag had a price of [$], so I was happy about the savings. I had never heard of this brand before, but saw the great reviews and went for it. Glad I did. A high quality product at a super value. HIGHLY recommend it! And really cute and trendy design...
