Really nice but too hard to put on By NK from Maine on 04/13/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear a size 7, sometimes 7.5 in Keens (which I love), after reading the reviews I got the 7.5 and could not get my foot into the boot. The problem was navigating the corner where your heel goes. My feet are an ordinary shape and from the reviews it didn't seem that most people had this problem - so it is a mystery. I was disappointed, they would have been perfect for me if they had fit.
By Galena Nightfire from Colorado on 04/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very warm and Keen's wonderful footbed--a great combination. They run a full size small so order up one size.
By CGR56 from Santa Fe, NM on 04/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are as comfy as slippers. I got them after the snow season, but now that I have them, I can't wait for it to snow again! Have not yet worn them in the snow, so can't comment on traction or waterproofness, etc.
I've had a HORRIBLE time this winter finding snow boots that didn't hurt the fronts of my legs (most, it seems, are way too stiff there). I've returned 3-4 pairs of snowboots to various outdoor vendors, and had almost given up for this year until I saw these Keen boots. I am SO HAPPY I ordered them. I would have given them a 5-star rating, but I haven't worn them in the snow yet.
By doglady from Cuyahoga Falls OH on 04/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these for next winter, so I haven't actually worn them. They seem warm and comfortable. The biggest problem I had was getting the right size. Plan on ordering up at least a half, if not a full size. I have two other pair of Keen shoes; a size 7, and a size 7.5 (sized up to accommodate my orthotics.) I wound up taking the boots in an 8, and that's without orthotics.
Buy these, you won't regret it By Terri from Denver, CO on 04/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just bought a pair of these boots and couldn't be happier with them. They trump any other winter boots I've owned. Warm, comfy, and cute! As all the reviewers caution here, be sure to buy a 1/2 size up. I normally wear a 7.5 and size 8 fits perfectly. Quality Keens at STP prices- you can't beat that.
By terry the work outsider from chicago-il on 03/30/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i ordered the 1/2 size increase and they fit fine without socks. loved the way they looked(odd) but the top makes it difficult to get your foot in.i would suggest a whole size bigger if you want to wear socks. if you have heavy pants on it would be very digfficult to put these boots on. sorry but i sent them right back with out even trying on the other shoe.
By Dogtalker from Trout Creek, MT on 01/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Hiking, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Snowshoeing, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are THE BEST winter boots I have EVER owned. I am getting rid of all my other winter boots. I own two pairs of these Keens (and all my other footwear is Keen also). They are warm, slipper-comfy, waterproof, breathable, and easy to get on and off. Super lightweight and tough. Keens do run short, so order 1/2 to 1 size larger than you think you'll need.
Lightweight and comfortable By Snow lover from Chicago, IL on 07/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They fit a little smaller than I thought they would, but they are light weight and comfortable. I haven't used them in the cold yet, but they feel like they will be warm.
By Beri from Wales on 06/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: sizing a little large
By Happy Girl from Denver, CO on 06/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Cool Camping Nights, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boots. They ran about 1/2 size small for me so I recommend ordering a 1/2 size up. So far I've used these boots on chilly nights when camping and I was really happy I had them! I plan to use them snowshoeing (they have a little clip for your gaiters to attach onto), snowmobiling, and general winter use.
