No ticking, does not keep me awake. In the open position, the rachet does not keep it upright, it falls back or closes; I have to prop it against something.

This is not a battery problem, but must be some kind of design one in which the radio-control electronics are not picking up or processing the signal correctly (an Oregon Scientific sitting right next to it is correct).
The second problem is a design one: seconds don't show in the default screen mode; rather, the Alarm 1 time does, even when the alarm is not set. What's the point?

However, no matter where I place the clock I don't even get the symbol that it is searching for the atomic time setting. Useless.
