seems like good boots for general basic By Mountain Monkey from draper, UT on 01/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Lacing System Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for simple easy recreational boot, i think this will do it. I am not sure i would do any heavy back country skiing, but they seem comfortable and if they are warm, they might.
Warm, Dry and a little wide - perfect By Michigan Hiker from Michigan on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Roomy fit, Warm Cons: More flex than expected, Soles a bit wide for 75mm Best Uses: In track, Light trail breaking Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Most ski boots I have tried have always been much narrower than expected. With my wide feet (EE) I have had to move up a size to find something that fits with out constricting, but then they are uncomfortable because of the length.
These boots, as noted in other reviews are a wider than normal and they indeed are. I purchased them in size 43 - normally I would have gone a bit smaller but I am glad I didn't. While they are wide, they also are 1/2 size small in length.
Over all I am very pleased, they are very warm, look good and offer a good fit for wider feet.

Great cross-country boots By biker mom from seattle,wa on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Quality Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these boots for my daughter when she grew out of her cross-country boots, but could still use the same skis--they fit great in the bindings and are very well constructed, high quality boots. I'm sure they'll outlast her use of them!
By anthony from Eau Claire, Wi on 01/12/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Good Traction, Look Cool, Quality Construction, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For the money this boot is hard to beat. I was having a hard time finding an affordable 75mm style boot until I came upon these. The style of the boot is pretty cool and the boot seems to be well built. The one negative the boot has is it seems to be a half size small compared to other boots. The boot fits but is is almost to close to being to small for my liking compared to other boots that are just a little bigger.

Recommend both

By Heidi from AK on 01/04/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Good Traction, Look Cool, Warm Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read a lot of poor reviews on these, but the price was right, so gave them a try. Compared to what I had, these are so much more comfortable, and WARM! Surprised they kept my feet warm for a short run @ -35F, which is hard to find. The extra room is good for wearing extra socks. I like them.
301 Touring Boots ( without sole staple) By The BigFoot Scot from Burlington, Vt on 01/01/2009 Cons: Difficult Lacing System, Poor Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have large wide feet and its very difficult to find XC ski boots. These boots ran a bit large (which is great), and had the width that other higher end boots did not. I do like the boots.
HOWEVER, there was a dual pronged staple poking out of the center of the insole of the Right boot. I noticed it when removing the paper stuffed in the boot. I would have seriously cut the bottom of my foot had I not noticed.
I removed the staple, checked both insoles thoroughly, and decided to keep the boots (since this is the first pair of boots I found this year that fit). I would recommend you check these boots if you have more in stock.
I have worn the boots twice now and they are a decent boot on the skis. I would definitely given them a 4 star rating had not the "impaling" staple been present.
Cheers,
Scott
