Great looking jacket - weird fit! By RunnergirlNM from Los Alamos, NM on 01/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Bulky, Irregular Size Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really thought I'd love this jacket, but I took it out of the bag and it looked huge, and it was. It's really big across the top and just looks weird on. Too bad, I really thought I'd love this one!

This is my second jacket by Mountain Hardware. It's lightweight...looks just as good as it does in pic....and is perfect for hiking,
Casual wear or on the slopes.
Great value for the price. By Bonnie Bluehill from Hugo, MN on 12/22/2008 Pros: Durable, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Misproportioned sleeves Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the durability and quality of the jacket. But it seems to be misproportioned in size. Tighter in the body, but very long sleeves. We've noitced that with other Mountain Hardware apparel.
By Cindy R from Kenosha, WI on 12/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Cross Country, Hiking Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought it for snowboarding, but I don't think I can layer enough to keep me warm. I really expected it to be a warmer jacket, not just a shell. As a shell it is great. Just don't buy it thinking it will keep you warm unless you buy a way bigger size so you can layer.
By Wishing I were in Aspen . . . from Okoboji, IA on 11/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Freestyle, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in the Midwest and wanted to go with more of a layering system rather than a single winter jacket, and this is working very well. I love the style and fit. Very versatile - works great alone. I'm looking forward to wearing it over a fleece or sweater in colder temps.
By jojo from NZ on 08/12/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Collegiate/Pro Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For maritime mountain conditions this jacket sweats a bit much -be careful with layering pays to stick to natural fabrics.
The colour Helio was not described as light lilac -although I was happy with the colour, it looked more like a off white-grey on web.
Not as heavy duty as I would have thought, but will still be used in most conditions. Worth what was paid for but wouldnt pay full retail price for it.
Great all around waterproof jacket By RN Aim from Bozeman, MT on 05/30/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Bare arm plastic feeling Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in a mountain climate so I need something that will work on the slopes, ice climbing, and around town for unexpected weather/watching my son's t-ball game in a rain/wind storm. So far this jacket does it all. It's great for changeable Spring weather alone and it has room to layer underneath to take it into winter. The waist area seems a little smaller than the rest of the jacket so keep that in mind for what you plan to layer underneath. I've gotten a ton of compliments already whan I wear this jacket
