By Hawkeyefan1 from Cedar Rapids, IA on 06/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is phenominal. It seriosuly is the most waterproof thing I own. Water literally bounces off of it. The only reason it is four stars is the zipper is on the left side, which does not allow me to use my other fleeces to zip into it. I guess I need to buy a Lowe Alpine Fleece. Anyway buy this jacket - it will keep you dry and comfortable.
but for one thing an excellent product By g from Missouri on 04/27/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cool Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The coat is fine. However the collar is too stiff when the hood is stowed. Also the flannel like material on the collar is irritating.
I would buy this product again. It is warm, dry, and is good when layered underneath.

It creates lot of rustling noise due to the material, but that's just a minor thing and a personal pet peeve. Jacket seems well made and includes a hood-- nice touch. I'll check and see if the fleece I own fits, if not, it's a great rain jacket.

I was a bit worried that my fleece (which is not Lowe Alpine Brand) would not be compatible, but it works perfectly. The zip-in fleece option makes the jacket very versatile for year-round use.
