I am glad that I bought this hat. By Jeremiah from New Orleans on 12/03/2008 Describe Yourself: Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I go for a long walk in the morning and work up a sweat. The hat keeps my head warm. The sweat doesn't bother me.
By footdoc from Flemington, NJ on 11/26/2008 Describe Yourself: Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore this to my daughter's soccer game this weekend, 28 degrees with a 20 mile an hour wind whipping across the open fields, and stayed toasty warm. Granted it isn't stylish, but it is practical. I wish there were a way to fasten the ear flaps in the up postition.
Great replica of the original cap By Runs in the woods from Fremont, Michigan on 11/26/2008 Pros: Adjustable, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual, Into functional design, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This cap is a great replica of the original made for Jeff Lowe by his wife Janie in the 80's. Janie gave me an early prototype in 1985. My original cap was worn for 12 seasons and was still working perfectly when my pack was stolen (with the cap in it). I mourned my loss. Just recently I searched for replacement, and thought it was only available in Europe. But further research I was pleased to find it here, and available in ma range of colors from Sierra Trading Post. I'm going to order another in black to even better match the original.
Outstanding lid, outstanding in the wind By BB (Big Ben) from Rockland County, NY on 11/23/2008 Pros: Adaptable, Adjustable, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Hard core outdoor work Describe Yourself: High-tech mountain man Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat protects my cranium nicely in everything from high speed, in the wind, in the dark winter boat surveys, to working on an engine in the North wind and snow flurries. I'm an environmental science field person. I give gear hard use. This hat is the [*]. Say no more.
By teleskier from VT on 11/13/2008 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat rocks! Love it. I bike commute & now I only need 1 hat, because this one does it all. It's versatile, it can keep you dry & warm with the ear flaps down, but if it warms up you can tuck the ear flaps up & look super cool. The snap up visor is very handy, too. Good product.
Very waterproof - a tad geeky By blizzman from Deer Valley Resort on 11/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Commuting, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Functionally not quite a home run. The brim is even smaller than it appears in the product pic; makes it look a bit geeky (sorry, geeks of the world). A larger brim would work better in cold rains, slush, and sleet. I can see this evolving into my everyday commuting cap.

By Carole from Quincy, CA on 06/01/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's springtime, so no chance to really test. However, I very much like the fit and comfort of the cap and the softness of the lining.
I expect this cap to be a great addition to my outdoor winter gear.
By Average G from Ohio on 05/27/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice Cap . The fleece is a little lighter weight than Lowe's almost identical Trail Cap . The cuts are the same, but this cap fits a little looser than the Trail version .
Very versatile, I've worn it from the 60's on down . Since I started using these caps, I have found hoods on my soft shell jackets are no longer desired . Completely windproof, warm , and highly breathable in lower activity levels . Yes, hot heads will find it hot . There is no miracle fabric for that .
