Nice pants but sizing incorrect By traveler123 from princeton, nj on 09/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking, Traveling Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Based on previous reviews I ordered size 8, and I usually wear size 4-6. I fit in them but the pants are a bit too snug around my hips and waist, i prefer to have more room in that area. I would say this size 8 is actually size 4. Since I'm short (5,3") the length is perfect for me. I'm keeping these pants but next time would order size 10. [...]
Who made this crazy sizing??? By Redhead from Texas on 05/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like the design and loved the material. It would be great for outdoor fun but the sizing is WAY off. I wear a 4-6, ordered a 6 and could not get it over my hips.
Great pants- wacky sizing By Girl Loves Green from California on 12/30/2007 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Active wear, Casual Wear, Day-hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Comments: I loved the pants. The fabric and details were really nice, cut was flattering (or seemed to be), and the colors were good. BUT the size conversion is way off! The online chart (and the garment tag) indicated that a Euro 34 was equal to a US womens 6. I am a true size 6, with very few exceptions- this is one! I would have needed at least a 38- I couldn't even get the pants to zip, and the legs hit me mid-calf. Order two Euro sizes larger and you should be very happy with your purchase.
By Outside from Florida on 12/23/2007 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pants feel like they're cut for "juniors." Low-rise waist was not mentioned in product description. Tight-fitting around hips. Recommend buying one size larger than normal.
By Susie hiker from Bend, OR on 12/12/2007 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Comments: Had to return product because it was too small and larger size was not available. Did not get a chance to wear pants.
By Red Deer hiker from Alberta, Canada on 12/09/2007 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm disappointed that these pants fit so small because they appear to be really lightweight, comfortable, well-made pants. I'm from Canada and usually wear a size 2 or 4 in brands like Gap, Bannana Republic and Jacob. I ordered these in a size 6 and could barely get them up over my thighs and even though it has an elastic waist, there's no way I could snap the waist shut. The legs were also short, came to just above my ankles - I'm 5'5". I think I would need to order a size 10 or maybe even a 12 for them to fit.
