By NASHUAGAL from NASHUA, NH on 02/02/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Hiking, Snowblowing Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I WANTED SOMETHING THAT WOULD WORK WHEN I WAS WARING A COAT THAT DIDN'T HAVE A HOOD. THIS WORKS WELL.
By older lady farmer from Spring Grove, Pa on 01/31/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Sunny windy weather, Working outside Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Outdoors woman, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the medium and it fits great, except just a tad high in the top. It only came in light blue in the medium and I'd prefer a darker color, but what a comfortable hat for windy, sunny days that are really cold. Not very attractive hat, a bit weird looking, but I work by myself outside on my farm and am at the age of not caring much of how I look...... comfort and practicality is paramount.
By Sea Level from Cape Cod on 12/16/2008 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Kind of geeky, but I love it! Has a draw string that tighens from behind, under your ears to keep hat on and wind out. The visor is a little funky, doesn't seem to snap 'up' the way it probably should - but for the price I paid at Sierra it's GREAT!
very good for new england By peg from peru, vt on 12/16/2008 Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ended up giving this to a friend because it was too small for my head. I thought I had a small head but I guess I should have ordered a medium. I would've liked to have kept this hat bc its great for all the winter weather in new england.
Perfect for those cold days in the city By Female Cable Dog from Washington, D.C. on 12/10/2008 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear this hat when I transport the littlie ones to daycare and it's perfect especially on those windy days even with a little rain I know my hair will be fine.
By psychogoat from New England on 12/09/2008 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The inner fleece lining is smooth and soft; and the elastic adjuster snugs the ear flaps right up around your ears, keeps all the wind out. And the visor is short so it works to keep sun out of your eyes but not too much so as to impact your peripheral vision. Very pleased.
By Cranky cheapskate from Green Bay, WI on 12/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, When cold and wet, When windy Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish, Thrify cheap Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The hat is great for weather above 15 degrees - I used to shovel and play outside with the kids when wet snow was falling and I stayed completely dry!
By stargazer from Montana on 12/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: compact and stuffable, but warm in a cold wind
By Em from Brooklyn, NY on 12/02/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Warm and so far it seems water repellent. It's a good fit, but it doesn't have much shape integrity... kind of sloppy. The brim has that configurable wire in it that Lowe uses. Be very good to pack along on a hike: very lightweight and you'd have no qualms about cramming it into a corner.
Warm and good fitting hat. By Pollywog from Woodbury, MN on 12/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat has no straps so its easy on and off. The flaps cover my ears and does a good job keeping me warm in Minnesota. The price was also a great plus!
