all other review mostly correct! By crash from Comstock Park, MI on 08/27/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: First time on both thigh seams popped. Haven't used them yet, waiting for them to get fixed.
2 holes after the first wash By Boydog from Boise, Idaho on 05/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Good Padding Cons: Not Enough Pockets, Seams Come Undone Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a daily yer round commuter. They felt good. They are a little too long but that didn't really bother me. They have two holes in the seams on the upper thighs after a few uses and one wash and a hang dry. I was not happy. But, didn't have the energy to send them back. I will see if they can be mended and then see how long it takes before the seems go again.
By TreeHugger from Glen Burnie MD on 04/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly Best Uses: Cool rides, Long Rides, Road Biking Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I don't know what it is with Canari, but their doing something weird with their pad placement. It's like they put in backwards. It cups all the way up and around your junk, but leaves the buns all exposed. The material is great. They feel nice although they seem to be longer than advertised. I wouldn't recommend them for long rides because the pad is not position for optimum comfort.
By dlegault from platte city, mo on 03/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Padding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Feels good havn't worn but a couple of times for cool weather. They were great.
Very good, But get one size Smaller By St Pat from Reno, NV on 02/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, Good Padding Best Uses: Mountain Biking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use for cold\cool weather biking street & trail
By Acetheamazingcat from Los Angeles on 01/05/2009 Cons: Not Enough Padding, Seams Come Undone Best Uses: Cold Weather, Road Biking Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Leg seam popped approximately 1" (looked to me like a defect during manufacturing). These run very long in the leg (as many other reviewers have mentioned). The padding is NOT gel but some kind of batting. OK value for the money I spent, but nothing terrific...
By silverback from long island, NY on 12/12/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Road Biking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: length is closer to 33" I agree with reviewers that think padding is marginal and not wide enough. Part of your backside and part of your front side aren't really padded. I find you need to do some adjusting when riding more than with most pants. You can't really compare these tights to a more expensive model with higher quality padding. I wouldn't want to try to do a century in these pants That being said, I have found them to be acceptable for a twenty to thirty mile ride, but I switch to another pair of tights for anything longer. I wouldn't recommend for a novice cyclist who still gets sore butt. Acceptable for the price, and I would recommend them keeping the above caveats in mind
By It's all in the fit from Ashland, OR on 12/11/2008 Best Uses: Mountain Biking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm an average 5'8" size but the leg length was about 2" too long. (Others had commented on this but I was hoping they just had shorter legs - I was wrong.)Thought the padding should have extended a little further up the backside but probably would have been okay. Otherwise the material and workmanship seemed fine. Didn't test its performance.
Excellent, especially for colder weather By Frequent Buyer in Santa Fe from Santa Fe, NM on 12/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Long Rides Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The padding issue could be important for some -- mentioned in other reviews here --- I find it just fine and comfortable. I don't do marathon rides, not even many mile rides, so that could figure in, too.
The fit and quality are excellent, especially the zipped ankles, making them easy to get into.
I liked these for those chilly morning cardio/pleasure rides or when the temperatures have dropped to too low for shorts.
"Comfortable in cold and wind too" By Rocky Mnt High from Ft Collins, CO on 12/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have yet to give these a good workout but I used them in mid 30F and a 40kn wind and I was comfortable for the conditions. They could use a little more padding but I always think that after 20+ miles with almost all cycling shorts or tights. Would recommend.
