Merino wool is very soft. This is heavy and a little scratchy. I'm disappointed and will return it.

The Ecru was larger with very long sleeves that looks funny folded up. The espresso was smaller, more trim, with sleeves that fit my 5'4" 145 lb body perfectly.

The buttons should have been reinforced. The color is very versatile (I think I got the "ecru" or light tan one).

It is warm & cozy and feminine for a sweater of this style, not frumpy, which is something I wasn't sure about. The quality is apparent, despite the dangling buttons, and best of all, it is NOT made in China! After reading other reviews by people with longer arms like me, I expected the sleeve length to be a bit on the long side, but I did not find this to be the case with my medium white sweater.
