Worth the money! Great Sweater By red eft from New Hampshire on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really love this sweater. I'm 5'4" and the medium was just the right size. I like having a "standing up" collar because I'm cold most of the winter and this keeps my neck warm. Some of people's reviews said this sweater was itchy, which I find confusing because this sweater isn't itchy at all. There was one thing that was misleading about the sweater, which is that it is advertised on this website as merino wool (which is what I was specifically looking for). However, the labels and tags on the sweater do not say this is merino wool anywhere. The tag says that it is "new wool", which after some research apparently is a wool they do something to, to make it less itchy. It doesn't bother me that it is not merino since it isn't itchy.
Styling is classic or dated?? By SweaterLover from california on 10/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Very high quality and warm looking. But I am returning it because the styling is a bit too Grandma for me. I'll come back and buy it in 20 years or 20 lbs. whichever comes sooner! I like classic styling fine, but the fit at the shoulders is poor and the length is much longer than the photo shows. Otherwise, the size L is more like a M/L. I disagree with other reviews, I think the sleeves would be too short if worn with a turtleneck or heavy undershirt. The wine color is terrific though.
the softest wool in the world By sybil from Western Colorado on 10/22/2009 Pros: Amazing yarn, Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, Lightweight, Soft, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Special Occasions, Travel, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A simply gorgeous sweater. The red color is deep and rich, the fit is perfect, and it is so soft it's hard to believe it's wool. I dislike turtlenecks, but this sweater, with the top button undone, folds nicely and flatteringly down to make a small collar. I am looking forward to cooler weather.
By Amy from New England on 10/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a beautifully made sweater: lovely interesting cables, cool buttons, a turtleneck that converts to a bit of a shawl collar. It hits an odd place on the hip, just long enough to look like one of your grandmother's bun warmer cardigans, and too short to have that lengthening sweep of some of the newer styles out there now. Does qualify as heath-and-moor hearty, though, so I'm keeping it.

Not worth suggested retail price By Snowgirl from Madison, WI on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had read previous comments about workmanship. The sweater is not full-fashioned (cheap construction) which affects shape. The inside of collar is not nicely finished and where it attaches to the front ribbing, it is just cut and sewn together unevenly. That said, I really like the sweater. I'm short and have short arms and it works very well for me (but not for a taller person). I usually wear petites. The wine color is very nice and the sweater is a good weight. I wear it to work and with jeans for week-ends.

The garnet red was my first. This is the ecru, a nice neutral off-white. The sweaters are great quality of soft wool. I get compliments every time I wear one of them.+
