By K. the happy hiker from Vernon, British Columbia, Canada on 02/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack will be going on the West Coast Trail with me this spring. I was a little skechy on if 45L would be big enough for the week long adventure, but i'm sure it will work for me. I will only have one drybag attached to the outside. I am a very petite lady and the WXS fits so comfortably and is just perfect! The padded hipbelt pivots as you move and does not restrict ways you want to move. And it is super comfortable! The only down side is that it didn't come with a waterproof cover, this is something i'll need to get for sure.
By peanut from IA on 02/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Extended Hikes, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my 13 year old daughter who is very slim.
She loves this pack because it is comfortable even when loaded heavy and because it matches her slim profile. Amazingly the waist belt on this adjusts to her skinny 22 inch waist!!!!
It provides enough space to hold most of the necessities for a weekend or even several days worth of traveling with family.
By MS from Plymouth, NH on 01/19/2009 Pros: Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack seems to be well made with good padding and easy access. My old pack that I have had for many years never fit correctly. I am looking forward
to using this pack that I can adjust to my frame. Access seems good and lots of storage. Not the lightest pack but sturdy and good deal for the money.

A Christmas gift for our daughter By lil zoop from Charlton MA on 12/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our daughter is gong to Norway (Svalbard) to study climatology and its affects on the glaciers so she needed a good sturdy pack that is comfortable and not bulky for her two weeks there. It looks like this one will fit the bill!
By kelshine from Charlotte, NC on 07/21/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Backpacking, Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a great pack with an excellent suspension system. It is very comfortable to use, but it is a smaller pack. It is good for a 2-3 night lightly packed trip... it works out great since the boy usually carries all of the real gear :)

By Rockytop from Bristol, TN on 04/27/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Backpacking, Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack has Gregory's award winning Response suspension system (same as in Deva, etc), but on a much smaller pack, thus making it a good middle of the road pack (i.e. you can load it up with heavy stuff and it will support the weight, but its a good size for an overnight trip, if you don't mind the extra couple of pounds of the heavy suspension).
By firepixie from Sault Ste. Marie, ON. on 04/13/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Extended Travel, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not yet used this pack - just got it yesterday so my opinion can only be taken with a grain of salt.
The pack is great except for a few things which I am concerned about. I have a 31 inch waist/36 inch hip & the front of the waistband digs into my tummy. Not the high padded part, but when that part runs out right at the front where it's just the strap & the buckle. I weigh 140 lbs but i think if I was maybe 10 pounds lighter and had a little less chub in the front it wouldn't be a problem. :)
The zippers have a rubber seal over them which make them more difficult to open (for waterproofing purposes0 but my husband who has a gregory pack said they will get easier to zip/unzip with use.
The plum colour is a little bit darker than I thought it would be, but I still like it.
The bottom of the internal frame is uncovered inside the pack so I have a small concern about clothing getting caught on it's edges.
