By kelshine from Charlotte, NC on 07/21/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Backpacking, Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a great pack with an excellent suspension system. It is very comfortable to use, but it is a smaller pack. It is good for a 2-3 night lightly packed trip... it works out great since the boy usually carries all of the real gear :)

By Rockytop from Bristol, TN on 04/27/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Backpacking, Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack has Gregory's award winning Response suspension system (same as in Deva, etc), but on a much smaller pack, thus making it a good middle of the road pack (i.e. you can load it up with heavy stuff and it will support the weight, but its a good size for an overnight trip, if you don't mind the extra couple of pounds of the heavy suspension).
By firepixie from Sault Ste. Marie, ON. on 04/13/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Extended Travel, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I have not yet used this pack - just got it yesterday so my opinion can only be taken with a grain of salt.
The pack is great except for a few things which I am concerned about. I have a 31 inch waist/36 inch hip & the front of the waistband digs into my tummy. Not the high padded part, but when that part runs out right at the front where it's just the strap & the buckle. I weigh 140 lbs but i think if I was maybe 10 pounds lighter and had a little less chub in the front it wouldn't be a problem. :)
The zippers have a rubber seal over them which make them more difficult to open (for waterproofing purposes0 but my husband who has a gregory pack said they will get easier to zip/unzip with use.
The plum colour is a little bit darker than I thought it would be, but I still like it.
The bottom of the internal frame is uncovered inside the pack so I have a small concern about clothing getting caught on it's edges.
By AmberLynne from Washington on 04/06/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Back Support, Good Padding, Great Quality, Lightweight, Narrow to fit body, Strong Zippers Best Uses: Airline Travel, Backpacking, Camping, Short Travel, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A reason I bought it is because of how narrow it is, but for that reason I am unable to fit my synthetic sleeping bag in sideways. It isn't a huge deal, but it does change the weight distribution. Other than that, it is a great pack. I wee bit smaller than I imagined even when I went up a size. I was buying it for an extended trip, so if you're getting it for international travel, weekend trips or camping it is PERFECT.
Nice but too small for our needs By Don't have one. from Sykesville, MD on 01/02/2008 Cons: A nice pack but not large Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We are sending it back because it's not large enough for winter use and our needs but it is a nice pack for the summer. Unfortunately we needed something to suit bith summer and winter.
Maven Backpack for Women by Gregory By Windwalker from Belgrade, Montana on 12/06/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Good Padding, Large Capacity Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Although I backpack in the Rocky Mountains of Montana I am first using this item for an extended stay in Costa Rica. The size fits all my belongings while being comfortable. I especially like the hip belt and the designed shoulder straps that fit much better for a woman.
I'll let you know more after my return from Costa Rica.
Terrible Fit...not at all as described By Dissatisfied from Ohio on 12/05/2007 Cons: Waist belt for waifs Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: We fitted this pack exactly according to [...] on-line instructions before choosing the size to order. When it arrived the waist belt was far too small for my wife and had almost zero useful range of adjustment. Buy this with caution...it might work for women with very narrow hips.
