By country San from western NY on 03/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering Describe Yourself: Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have these pants in black. They are a good basic wardrobe staple. The waist is large for me and like all pants these days they will need to be shortened.
Very impressive for the cost By Bargain Shopper from Missouri on 02/25/2009 Pros: Flattering, High Quality, Stylish Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are true to size if you usually buy medium priced pants. I usually buy less expensive pants and usually wear a size 12. I was able to wear a size 10 in these pants and they fit perfect! The quality seems outstanding and the price couldn't have been better.
By ellie from Philly on 02/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering Cons: Bad color flimsy fabric Describe Yourself: Career, Eclectic, High end, Trendy Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fit of these trousers is great for women with wide waists and narrow hips - the trousers hang really well and are comfortable. The length was on the long side, which I like. The only problem with these trousers was the fabric - the tweed was small and cheap looking, the fabric was thin, and the brown color was a mix of dark caramel and yellow green which really limited its versatility. Perhaps the black tweed would be better.

By Kaatskills Kate from Town and Country, New York on 01/04/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm generally a fan of David Brooks for office and casual wear. Their trousers are fairly well-made (compared to everything else coming out of China) and seem to be designed for real women's bodies. Although the seat and hips are cut well on this model, the waist is too big -- it should lie smoothly just below navel but the reinforced waistband sticks out and creates a gap under sweaters or smooth-fitting tops. Legs are too long (I'm 5'6-1/2") Fabric is itchy, as others say. But the pant is lined in the leg, so if you tuck in a blouse, it's wearable. Fabric is good-looking, versatile tweed, richer in brown than charcoal.
By MJB from KY on 11/08/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Others said these pants were itchy although lined, and I agree. They were also a little tight. I have tried on several David Brooks pants and some fit and some are tight (but would be too big in a larger size).
