By practical lady from springfield, massachusetts on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Cute style but not very practical. The mittens are so bulky that you can't drive a car, can't put your hands in your pockets, can't grasp a snow shovel handle, etc. There is not enough insulation in the palm and thumb areas, so my hands got pretty cold pretty fast.
Very Disappointed in these mittens By San Diego skier from San Diego on 01/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these mittens based on a recommendation from a friend, but she mentioned that the black mittens run small and do not have the finger inserts as described. I thought it might have been a flaw in the ones she received, but the M/L is a small fit for me and I always wear a size medium. I also returned the mittens because they do not have the finger inserts which had been a big attraction for me. The vendor needs to have better quality control, and STP needs to note in their narrative that the black mittens run smaller than the others and do not have the inserts.
By KK loves the snow from Orange County, California on 01/06/2009 Pros: Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a M/L based on other reviews I had read and they were fine for me (med hands) but may not work for someone with large or XL hands. They are warm and work better with disposable hand warmers than regular gloves do. My daughter also wore them and they kept her hands very warm. They are also fun since they do look like boxing gloves. No one cut in the chair-lift line in front of me.

Unusual fun fashionable mitten! By flygirl from San Diego, CA on 11/23/2008 Pros: Good Grip, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Didn't know if this might be too bulky, but it felt fine when gripping my ski pole. I haven't skied with them yet, but tried at home. The sizing is really a junior sizing in the S/M, and I have a small hand. The M/L was fine. However, the quality control seems to vary. I purchased the vermillion and the black. The vermillion was perfect and had individual finger liner inserted. The black in the M/L actually fit like the S/M and did not have the individual finger inserts. I would not like this mitten without the individual finger liner. Also, the M/L black was tagged M/L by Grandoe inside the glove, but was definitely not M/L. It may have been the only one mismarked, but I would advise to try on carefully. If it's too tight in the palm it won't keep your hands warm! The bright colors are wonderful and will definitely make a fashion statement. They really do look like boxing gloves.
