By JoshMan from White Mountains, Arizona on 09/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Camping, Survival Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As an outdoor enthusiast and owning several benchmade, kershaw, and crkt knives, I am impressed with this fixed blade. The sheath is great quality and easy to use. The steel in the knife is durable and high quality. If there is one knife on the market that will do all...this is it! A must have!
By W from Earth on 08/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bottom line: this is a tactical knife, and a good one for the price. Yes its very snug inside the sheath, and that is done on purpose so you don't have to worry about it falling out if you ever sling it upside down. Excellent blade, could shave with it out of the box. Love the full tang and the pry tip on the handle. If you don't like the tanto point, keep in mind: they are made for stabbing, not slicing.

crkt tactical knife is not so practical By sas from vail, az on 06/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Sharp Blade Cons: Poor sheath craftsmanship Best Uses: Camping, Hunting Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The knife is durable and well made. The sheath is a little too complex for being a sheath. Knife is difficult to return back in sheath due to plastic lining. Knife handle is not very comfortable when using for any length of time.
CRKT makes quit nice knives! By Knife Nerd from NC from Mooresville, NC on 06/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish Cons: Difficult to Sharpen, Tanto Point Best Uses: Camping, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The knife is nice heavy; seems to be very strong. I wanted a fixed blade knife to take camping a few times a year. This one will do the trick. However, my bigest problem with it is that it has a tanto point. In reality there are two edges to keep sharp one is 4" long and the other is 1". I knew this going into it, so no suprise here, but i would still prefer one long edge to maintain.
By Boy Scout Bill from Michigan on 05/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Finish, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Camping, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Like all knives from CRKT, this one's top quality. I'm still not sure about the pry tip on the handle as it makes it a little difficult to change one's grip from saber to reverse.
I disagree with other reviewers about the sheath. It's well-designed and can easily be modified to one's taste. For example, I've already removed one of the retention straps, for one is sufficient for most purposes (it's attached with Velcro) and I've also done away with the leg strap. The resulting setup is easy to access and should become one of my favorites for an all-around camp/survival knife. I would prefer a clip or spear point to the semi-tanto blade shape but this is a very minor issue considering the bargain price of this knife.
THE SHEATH ALONE IS WORTH THE PRICE! By COSMOF from DALLAS, TX on 05/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: With CRKT, you get what you pay for, and more. The sheath and the knife make this a real bargin for the outdoorsman.
