I would rather have the unpainted one. By Office survivor from Mobile AL on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great knife around the office but the appearance is hurt by the black paint which comes off rather too easily.

By Bob Dole from Salt Lake City, UT on 07/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Versatile Best Uses: Casual use, Prying knife Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This knife is great for a casual prying knife(Opening boxes etc). I wouldn't use it for anything else really. It's great though. Perfectly compact. When I first got it I was worried about having the blade exposed, but it's one sided and I haven't had any problems with the exposed blade. I'm not really a fan of the tanto edge, but for this specific knife it works out.
By Bustem 65 from San Diego, CA-Durango, CO on 05/25/2009 Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Day Trips, River Trips, Survival, Work Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Since I can't live without a pocket knife, this one kills two bird with one stone. My friends keep getting them for gifts and they all love them. Small enough for the pocket, sharp enough for everyday chores.

By PSU fan in OH from Columbus, OH on 03/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice knife, small and lightweight. The blade lies flat and I imagine that one could accidentally open it a bit in your pocket and poke your pants or cut your finger. I haven't had this problem.
By Banditryder from Pittsburgh, PA on 02/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: An excellent day to day knife for the pocket of your jeans or suit pants. Low profile, great edge, really cool blade storage system and low-key color. I had an older similar style from another company and this one beats it hands down.
Another toy, but nice quality By Dan from NH on 12/06/2008 Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Sharp Blade Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This knife has the blade on the outside of the knife, so it fits snugly against the handle. It specifically makes a point in the directions that it is only for light use. It's a great pocket knife for opening boxes, etc. I wouldn't skin a deer with it obviously.
You can only sharpen one side of the blade, the one that does not sit against the handle, otherwise it might affect the way it closes securely.
It's a high quality knife with a sharp blade. I can't resist a pocket knife and have many, which I rotate through. This is a good one.
Make sure you are comfortable with a knife where the blade is on the side of the handle, rather than in the middle of it. There is the potential for the blade to open in your pocket although it's unlikely. It wouldn't be my number one knife, but it's light, sharp, and I like it a lot.
