By PYD from East Bend, NC on 06/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes. Comfortable out of the box. Good traction, well made, understated style. The green ones do show dirt easily, and the sole tracks mud, but these are good all-around walking and light hiking shoes.
By plutino from Santa Cruz, CA on 04/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: At The Gym, Everyday, Grass, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes are great, but only if I have ordered one size bigger than my feet than a half size. It's probably not a problem for others since my feet have high front, and are a little bit wide. I feel extremely comfortable in them, and the traction is great. Too bad that they run out of 7.5 when I decide to send my 7 back.
By Matt from New York, NY on 03/30/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: What these trail runner sneakers lack in padded comfort like one might be accustomed to in, say, a cross trainer, they make up for with good support (Vibram insole!) sufficient flexibility, good construction, and (I think) good looks. Looks like a vintage sneaker, wears like a hiking boot. A-
By Drifter from Denver, CO on 03/24/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great everyday shoe. The corduroy on them gets a bit dirty but they feel very comfy and they have great traction. They are not super heavy but not very light either. They are a very sturdy pair of shoes.

I wore terry socks
Very pleased with this shoe By Steve Henderson from Cincinnati, OH on 01/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Gym Rat, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoes are nice fit, and look great. Immediately, they were quite comfortable and I have gotten many compliments on them. Have worn them casually so far, but I can tell they will do quite well on the trail for hiking. I would definitely buy another pair of these or Vasque shoes in general. My only wish is that they offered a GoreTex lined model.
By Sewerman from Oro Valley, AZ on 11/25/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Shock-Absorbent Cons: Hot, Sole picks up stone Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I destroy most shoes in 6 weeks or less. I need shoe with removable insole so I can put in my orthopedic insole. These allow that.
The length is marginally small for the size. The height of the toe box is small, and they tend to squeeze my toes together.
Hell width is good.
I would order the next size if I got them again.
Not what I expected - Rather Clunky By Jim the Runner from Flagstaff, AZ. on 11/24/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Returned, was expecting a much lighter trail shoe made more for everyday, casual use. Instead, these are somewhat heavy and inflexible. They're more like an unnecessarily dressed-up and trendy genuine trail shoe. Which, doesn't make a great deal of sense to me...
By charuto from ann arbor, mi on 11/17/2008 Pros: Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Capoeirista, Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: if they break in a little, they will work out very nicely. Got a pair of Vasque hiking shoes and have been amazingly impressed with them. My flat feet don't bother me at all with any of the Vasque shoes.
