I really like Vasque trail shoes for the summer and now happy to add these for the wetter winter in Seattle.
By Jen the driver from Erie, PA on 09/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Functional, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Wear like iron Cons: Don't like the laces Best Uses: Cold Weather, Outdoor Work, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Great for my job Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these for work. I drive a paratransit bus and am in and out all day long in all conditions assisting our various customers. These boots are great. They keep my feet toasty warm and dry and put up with an awful lot of abuse. My only complaint are the laces. They untie themselves quite easily even when knotted. This is due, no doubt, to having a round rather than flat configuration and being made of slippery material. Flat laces would be better.
By Witchone from Norwalk, CT on 07/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Multipurpose, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking, Slippery Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Useful in any wet weather, Working in the rain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use these for working in wet conditions. Because they are mesh, they are appropriate for summer or winter.
By No More Cold Toes from Philipsburg, PA on 04/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I suffer from cold toes most of the time. I've been looking for an insulated and waterproof shoe/boot that's not a hunting or work boot. This boot is the perfect solution. Not too heavy and bulky but sylish and comfortable enough to wear every day. I don't even have to wear two pairs of heavy socks like I do with my hunting boots. And the laces pull tight in just one yank. Just make sure you order a size bigger like recommended. I did and they fit perfectly. I love them!

True to size. Great ankle support. I have narrow feet so there is plenty of room for a hiking sock. Plenty of toe room. Warm and waterproof. Would recommend.

These are cute boots. They are indeed lightweight yet are warm with a mid weight sock. I would absolutely buy another pair!!!!!!!!!
Not as big as I thought, pretty warm By Jess from Long Island, NY on 02/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Glacial Hiking, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these on a day long glacial hike in Iceland, as well as gallivanting around the city of Reykjavik in the rain. There was lots of snow on the mountain and these were quite warm, except when I was just standing around for an hour. As long as I was moving, they were great. Pretty wide, although I wear a 7.5 and the 8.5 was not big enough to accommodate my orthotics. I went down to an 8 and with a super thick sock, it was fine.
By Cynthesis from Florida on 02/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these, tried them on and found that they were too long. However, since sending them back I have found out that this is a good thing with hiking boots. Your toe is not supposed to hit the front when you are angling down while hiking. So they probably fit just fine! I liked these, the only con was the color that doesn't really "go" with everything.
Durable -- Not Comfortable By Anonymous from Upstate NY on 02/03/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable, Stiff Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Most durable and waterproof winter boots are on the heavier side. However, this boot crowded my foot and felt too clunky.
By fc from michigan on 01/29/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Narrow across toes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Vasque boots but as soon as I put these on I could feel them pinching across my toes. I wore them in the house for an hour to see if they could work, but my feet were killing me. I returned them.
