By Outdoor runner girl from Reston, VA on 04/27/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Outdoor trail runner, Triathlete-recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My first run in these shoes was a 6 mile mudfest. They worked great - noticably less mud slippage than my "trail" sneakers. Also footbed feels a little stiffer than a sneaker, so gives better support when running over rocks and roots. Strong toe protection prevents stubbed toes. My next run was 12 miles on a drier trail - still loved'em! Would recommend to a friend.
