By Bargain Huntress from PA on 04/04/2009 Pros: Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Toe box felt a little snug on one foot and if you're going to wear heavy socks, i would go up a half size. I'll probably buy a second pair a half size up to wear with winter-weight socks.
My orthotics fit in without a problem.
Keeps me comfy on loose gravel trails, forest paths and even held up to 3 hours standing on a concrete floot.

By Friday hiker from Ogden Utah on 03/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the firm construction in the toe. The toe box is wide enough that my toes are not going to get pressed even on steep downslope. But the heel is narrow enough not to slip.
Great shoe at a great price By Bargainhuntress from PA on 03/26/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are comfortable and accommodate my orthotics. They fit true to size. I've had a little bit of toe bang on the one foot, but that foot does seem a tiny bit larger than the other. I've used these to walk on cinder trails and hike some forest trails and they do grip nicely. I would say there is a little bit of a break-in period, but I haven't had any blisters. Great price for a great shoe.

Vasque shoes are the best! By Enthusiastic Corgi walker! from Decatur, GA on 03/05/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear Vasque shoes for every occasion possible because they offer great support and make wearing those silly inserts a thing of the past for me. Also no more trips to the foot doctor for steroid shots to my heels. This is my second pair of this style-at approximately half of what I paid for the first pair . Keep up the good work of offering great products at very affordable prices.
By back country runner/hiker from Sacramento, CA on 02/12/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first day I used these shoes was on a 16 mile run on muddy trails. My feet stayed dry and didn't slip around inside the shoe. I felt really stable, and the shoe is very comfortable. It is not a pretty shoe, but gets the job done. I had a pair of goretex Solomons that never broke in and never fit quite right. They were more than twice the price of the Vasque. Very good deal.
