Nice looking, very comfortable shoe. By Nanna from Pocatello, ID on 11/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Runs size smaller. I really like the shoes.
By Phoebe from Durango, CO on 08/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Travel Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great travel shoes when you're packing light. Go from trail to airport or museum without looking like hiking shoes. Kind of has a bowling shoe vibe but cuter than that. Fit good right out of the box.
By Food Pantry Director from Alabama on 06/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Light weight but sturdy, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Funny sound at ball of fo Best Uses: Long days of standing Describe Yourself: Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoe like all vasque. No break in period. I needed a lighter weight shoe than the mantra which I also love. This shoe occasionally makes a funny sound at the ball of the foot when walking but doesn't bother me where I am going to where them.
Stylish, comfortable, poor tread By arcticgal from Middlebury, VT on 06/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes seem well made, and I'm sure I'll have them for a long time. I like the way they look and feel--they're stylish enough to wear to in-town events. My only complaint is their tread--the rubber soles are fairly thin, with shallow grooves. During a recent hike, they were fine on the flats and fairly slippery on rocky slopes. Not the ideal trail shoe, at least in rocky terrain!
By Mellomama from Salida, Colorado on 03/30/2009 Cons: Hard to break in, Not Comfortable, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: Everyday, For work, Walking my dog everyday Describe Yourself: Moutain biker, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this shoe because it is an in between sneaker and hiking shoe. I really like the look of them. They were very hard to break in, and the bottoms are not cushy at all. Gave me blisters. But after breaking them in I go to work in them-on my feet all day- and they are just fine. A little disappointed in the shoe for what I paid.
By Tricia from Shelby Twp. MI on 01/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Everyday, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice for the price. More of a casual shoe. Not enough arch support. Not enough support for long hikes.
By Melissa from Athens, OH on 11/09/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Durable Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The outer layer of suede would not do too well in muddy conditions. Other than that, the shoes look and feel great.
Light and very comfortable By forensic nurse from Paonia, Colorado on 04/24/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very pleased at the fit and comfort of these shoes. These days a lot of "sneakers" are very heavy with bulky soles. This shoe is light and allows your foot to "do it's work", but offers just enough support at the same time.
By skarabrae from Redcliffe, Qld, Australia on 04/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered size 9, as recommended to go up 1/2 size, although I am normally an 8.5. When the shoes arrived, I was very disappointed to discover that they were actually too big, because otherwise I love them! Because of the distance to return them, I'm going to try to sell them here so I can buy another pair (or something else).
