BUT all those raw seam allowances on the outside are too weird. I plan to take it apart from its lining and zipper, and turn the outer skirt RIGHT side out. This will be a bit of a pain, but worth it in the long run. I have to wonder: was this actually the design of the skirt, or a factory error? A little bit of raw edges on the outside is a common design embellishment, but this just looks like a mistake, especially since the cotton organdy frays very easily.

Makes me feel like a ballerina or a movie star in the 1950s. I ordered the red one and it is exactly like the photo. The outer layer is rather stiff, which gives lots of volume and bounce to the skirt. The stiffness isn't a problem for me because the inner lining is very soft, making the dress comfortable to wear. I ordered size 2 and it fits very well, although I think it is a bit tighter than other 2s I have. I would still call it "true to size" but if you are between two sizes, you should probably order the larger size.
