Gramicci Boulder Ridge Pants - Cotton By Fly-by from Littleton CO on 08/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible fit at waist, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Difficulty cinching ankle, Have not field tested Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fabric must withstand Malemute dog proximity and not show Malemute shedding; have not yet field tested it. This appears it may function properly. Water resistance might help. Static resistance might help.
Ok pants not as described By teacher and traveler from Visalia CA on 05/31/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Poor Fit, Waist is too low Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the cords at the bottom of the pants' leggs. They can be pulled up when using public facilies where the floors are not too clean, especially during travel. I don't like the very low rise, especially since the description said that it sits at the waist. I find the waist lower than the other pants by this brand.
By JIG from Vienna, VA on 02/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't worn these much yet but they are very comfortable and light weight - perfect for summer hikes. They seem a little long, but that's easily remedied with the elastic drawstring in the hem.
By Rach e. cakes from South Lake Tahoe, CA on 07/28/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Super Comfortable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are not the most flattering (what with the stretch waist), but oooh are they comfortable! As long as you wear a longer shirt to cover up the bunching at the top, they look fine. I'm normally a size M in brands such as Columbia, North Face, but I had to buy a Small in these. I wear them for working outside, and they are lightweight enough to wear under my waders, but also tough enough to hike through brush.
By Judy from Warwick from Warwick, NY on 07/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pants are so light-weight that will wear them almost every day during the summer (I'm retired).
By V the Walker from San Francisco on 05/08/2008 Cons: tighter in the thighs Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for something for hiking, walking and travel. These are a little nicer than the less expensive Gramicci pants, and with more pockets. They are tighter in the thighs, though, but still pretty comfortable.
By runs with horses from hillpoint, w on 05/07/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i think gramicci runs small. i ordered several pants and had to return them all.
not as great as they look By Joy the walker from Kensington, MD on 04/27/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Simply a very poor fit fo Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned them, I ordered two pair, different style Gramicci pants and the fit was totally different. I do wish they made petits as well as regular. The price was great. Maybe if you have a larger frame these pants would work for you.
comfortable tough but light pants By DKW from WNY on 04/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: for use around the house doing yard work and for just plain relaxation.
By Enjay from CA and MT on 04/02/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Gramicci pants and usually wear the heavier cotton type. These are lightweight, though sturdy, and better for warm weather.
The gusseted crotch and adjustable belted waist are great features for active-wear. I bought these in sage and light plum and love both colors.
One drawback... these are long for 'R' length. I am 5'5" and had to cut 2" off. I decided to retain the draw-cord ankle cuffs so the alteration was a bit complicated.
