Add to that the Arthritis in my ankles. My first pair of birks were bought in a local store for twice the cost of my shoes at Sierra Trading. The difference they made with my feet were profound. I slip into them 1st thing in the morning and no more limp. Shopping is no longer a problem, and I attribute the relief to the arch support and way they cup my heels. Also, I have wide feet and birks are very roomy, yet adjustable for any size foot. Needless to say, after the first pair, I was stunned to find them so reasonably priced on Sierra trading and ordered 2 more pairs. My next purchase will be birks I can wear in the winter, because I live in NH and I want my feet to feel good all year.

I have arthritis in my toes and the open concept of the "Birks" gives me breathing room. The Milano style has a back strap which gives added support and eases the possible stress on my toes.

They are classic and supercomfortable thanks to the soft footbed--I rotate these with my regular birks when my feet are sore and they're like walking on pillows. A fantastic deal--highly recommended!

He looks so cute in these. He reports that they are very comfortable and complains less of his feet hurting since he started wearing them. This is an excellent deal!
