By Potter from Louisville, KY on 09/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel, Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When my pair gets worn out, I just replace it with another pair. The best shoe I have ever found. They are comfortable with a squishy sole and plenty of room for your toes to wiggle. I get a lot of compliments for their unusual look, especially from women. I love the lack of padding around the ankle and the way it dips down around the achilles tendon. When ordering, order a half size smaller. I wear 11s with most shoes, with these 10.5 is perfect.
By maxxipotamus from Rio Rancho, NM on 12/12/2008 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable, Unstable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This was the first pair of Rogue shoes I've ever purchased. I've heard about them but never tried because I'm picky about shoes that won't hurt my knees. When an irresistible sale came, I thought I'd give them a try for they look good and comfortable on screen. When I got them, put them on, and I put them right back into the box. The leather was so stiff that they instantly hurt my feet. The soles were a little wobbly too. So sadly, I had to return them.
IT Band and Ankle Problems By Irish Rambler from Athens, AL on 12/10/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I recently bought these shoes as an all around pair to take to Ireland. I loved the style, and they were nearly waterproof after coating them well with minkoil. They did well on all types of terrain rocky, muddy, slippery. However, after returning I started having serious pain in my IT Band and lateral malleolus around my right ankle. When I stopped wearing them, the pain subsided in several days. I removed the footbed to notice that the construction of the shoe is at a 10-15 degree angle, not level which for me leads to a positive pelvic tilt which no doubt tighted my hamstrings and radiated stress down my leg and to the ankle. They may be good for some but beware! My only problem is that I can't return them now. But at [$] it was an affordable lesson learned.

By Indiana Jones from Indiana on 05/30/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Retro styling Cons: None if stitching holds Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading all of the great reviews, I gambled on buying a pair of the 11.5's that were a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear (unless they are hiking boots). I am glad that I did! At an additional 20% off, these shoes were the best shoe purchase that I have ever made! I am 6'2" 250# and really appreciate how easy these shoes are on my back. They are comfortable (love the leather lining and roomy toebox!) and supportive enough for morning walks and look great with a pair or jeans or chinos for casual wear. I liked them so much I ordered a second pair. I am usually afraid of shoes with a lot of stitching but so fair these these Rogues seem very well made. A snow seal (beeswax) treatment will protect them and increase their lifespan. Thank you, STP!
