Good-looking and solid, but sized big By arctostaphylos from Portland, OR on 06/06/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Great Color, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I followed advice to pick a size up and got pants that were still too big after washing in hot water. Otherwise they were great, solidly constructed and featuring a comfortable, attractive cut with a midrise waist that prevented muffin-topping without qualifying as "mom-jeans". So I ordered a size down. After a season of painful fieldwork in stinging nettles wearing plain jeans, I decided that the double-fronted style worn by my park ranger, surveyor and contractor friends was a must. Once I get the size right, I think the pants will perform very well and look great. I love the chocolate brown color.

By On a budget from NY on 05/12/2009 Pros: Durable, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are well made of rugged material. BUT,they are WAY too small for me. I will be returning them. Too bad, because they are really nice. If I decide to reorder them, I will probably have to go 2 sizes up and that is pretty depressing.
By A. from Incline Village, NV on 05/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Like other reviewers said, the waist runs a little tight in these. I usually wear a 2 or a 4, and I got these in a 4, which fits fairly well. I might consider sending them back for a 6, though, since I've heard they shrink about another inch after washing. Other than that, they fit me well and are a good pair of durable work pants. You can't beat Sierra Trading Post's price on these!
By riggergirl from san luis obispo, ca on 04/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Color, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These fit lower on the waist than the mens and are very comfortable. I dont like the high waist that the mens have. They also have plenty of pockets and room in the leg. Great work jeans that last forever.
I would buy a size up next time By Moqui Girl from Fruita, CO on 04/19/2009 Pros: Durable, Flattering, Great Color, Quality Material Cons: Runs small, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Yard work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Practical Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great for landscaping projects in my yard. My only complaint is that they run just a bit small. I'd like to have more room in the waist, which is just a bit high, and cuts uncomfortably when you bend over.
Sizes not uniform between colors By woozle from Trout Lake, WA on 04/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Quality Material Cons: Do need to "break in" Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these pants twice. Once, in the size I considered to be the lowest I would be now (I have gained twenty pounds in the last year so I am at sea as to what size I actually wear now) . I went for that size because reviews indicated the pants were baggy and roomy. The waist is trim enough that when I bought the larger size, I sized up two sizes. Both times the dark brown color was at least an inch smaller than the "Carhartt brown." If you are between sizes--keep this in mind! Now I have one pair that falls off, and one that is tight. Hmmmmmm...
By Girl rigger from San Luis Obispo, CA on 04/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have always wanted to try womens carhartts, mens just dont seem to have the right fit. These sit comfortably on your hips just below the natural waist with lots of room for movement. I wont ever buy mens again.
