By Bargain shopper from Little Rock, AR on 03/31/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Quality Material Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love carhartt pants. These are a heavy pant. I love that this style comes in a 28 length. I wish all the carhartt styles came in 28 length. I have short legs and hate hemming.
By Woozle from Trout Lake WA on 03/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Yard work labor Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Others have complained about the wide leg not being flattering, but most of us don't buy these to look cute.
The wide leg allow hands and knees work without binding in the rise. The double knees are a Godsend. I don't know how many jeans I have ruined for "town" wear with grass stains and holes in the knees.
I've always wanted these. My husband wears his all the time. But I could only find men's.
By ColoradoVMTR from Fort Collins,CO on 03/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Great Color, Quality Material, Warm Best Uses: Anywhere anytime Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Outdoorsyactive, Trendy Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just bought my second pair in the other color from STP(had the light brown before). Can't get a better pair of pants. These fit awesome!!! No more of the long fly and large thigh of the men's fit. The women's fit is perfect in every way. Has low rise that isn't too low or too high. Even has more of a boot cut fit so they look natural over dansko's or hiking boots. These pants are super warm too! I live in Colorado and on windy cold days, these things are my best friend. Wind and cold don't penetrate the material at all. I tried to resist buying a second pair but I honestly wear these things so much it makes sense. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! I am usually a size 6-8 and am 5'7. I can fit in both 6 and 8, 32" and 34" in these. 6 fits slimmer but still with ample room and 8 is just more relaxed. I prefer size 6, 34" inch as I tend to wear Dansko clogs a lot and they give me an added inch of height. 32" worked but 34" was just the little extra length that I needed. BUy them! STP has the best deal.
By Poodlekiss from Denver, CO on 03/23/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Great Color, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist is a little tight (or maybe my waist is a little too large), but the legs feel surprisingly roomy for such heavy material. My boyfriend swears by Carhartt for working outside in the mountains in all seasons, and I wanted something to wear outside and not worry about getting dirty.
By Kim Carrot from Berkeley, CA on 03/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Color, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They fit well and I appreciate that Carhartt is now making women's sizes. It'd be nice if there were more colors. I was disappointed that they didn't have the hammer loop like my men's pair that I use all the time. The other pockets are great. I've worn them every day since receiving them!
By Bill from Seattle on 03/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great Price on great pants!
Well made, fit OK but not great. By Your Worst Nightmare from San Francisco on 02/23/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Color, Plenty of pockets, Quality Material Cons: Rise too short, Runs large Describe Yourself: Active, Classic, Menacing, Petite, Pugnacious Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great pants; wish they fit. Waist was OK, but very baggy everywhere else, especially the legs. It's probably a matter of taste, but I think I would order a size down. I would have ordered another, smaller pair myself, but I'm not sure the rise is long enough for me to do that. Love the material--very tough, nice dark brown color. I find the rivets distracting--I keep thinking I've dropped something in my lap.
By Dodgegirl from Woodstock NY on 02/23/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Great Color, Make your butt look small, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor work Describe Yourself: Casual, Don't mind getting dirty, Like being outside Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these jeans after purchasing a pair from a hardware store that carries Carhartt for women. Even though these jeans are considered "2nds" I cannot find the flaw, they fit like my store-bought ones--for less money. They are durable, and flattering. I can actually wear them to work with a nice top and look "sporty casual." Carhartt's clothing fits a woman's shape.
By DLP from Washington, DC on 02/16/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased several of these pants for work (construction) and am very pleased with the quality and performance. The fabric is a bit stiff at first but softens over time. The price is great!
By Gwen from Kalamazoo on 02/11/2009 Pros: Durable, Quality Material Cons: Irregular Fit, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Utility Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Carhartts and have worn the mens before and they work great but I wanted to try the womens in hope they would fit a little nicer. Not the case for me; the waist was too low, not at natural waist for me, and I felt like the pants ballooned out just under the waist making my hips and stomach look big with a lot of baggy material, and making the pants not comfortable. I guess I'll stick to the mens.
