Excellent quality & flattering fit By Hiking Girl from Midwest (IL) on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use them for work, I am an engineer and the quality of the pants is outstanding. I am petite and was pleasently surprised that the size 2 is more of a size 0, particuarly in the waist and rise area. I have read some people complaining about the fit in the back, the part past the waist (hips and butt) is for the fuller figure so if you have a bit of curves these are the pants for you. They will fit nicely without making you stand out too much from the male crew as straight jeans would do (I have a full behind despite my small frame). I have three of the canvas carpenter pants and the khaki seems to shrink more than the brown so I would suggest one to two sizes up. I wish they had the other color left in a size 2 to add to my stack. I have a total of 7 Carhartt pants and love them all. These pants are similar to the denim dungarees but the dungarees have a looser fit. Cell phone/tool pocket on side is extremely useful. I wear Carhartt everyday now and cannot see myself switching to any other type of work pants.

By BellaBike from Greensboro, NC on 11/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Color, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good, basic pair of canvas "painter's" pants. Fit nice in the rise. Size 18 nicely fits a short plump gal. They wrinkle like crazy, though, (which is to be expected with canvas cloth).
By sugarbushsnowboarder from brick, NJ on 11/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Color, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered my size and the next up; both were oddly small in the waiste but fit everywhere else fine. The waist runs so small that it rides up and the pants ride up (esp. in the back if you know what I mean). I love Carhartts, but I think if you want them low on the hips like I do, it's probably best to order the men's.

Who says Carhartt is just for guys?? By Deb in New Mexico from Mountainair, N.M. on 10/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great pants for going into town or doing a little yard work -- and even for doing carpentry, if you're into that! At 5'7", I'm not really a "tall," but not exactly "regular," either. So the 32" inseams on these pants are perfect for me -- no hemming needed and no socks peeking out from underneath.
By Stitchwitch from Oxford ME on 10/29/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Great Color, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Carhartts! These jeans fit great and people commented on how great they looked on me. We live in a rural area and Carhartts are almost mandatory clothing ! These however are good looking and stylish to boot. We are into dog mushing and they hold up great working with the dogs.
By KWeav from NY on 10/28/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Because of all the reviews I read, I knew to buy one size up. I am usually a size 2-4 depending on the brand. I ordered a size 6 and they were just right. I bought the brown and olive colors. I am a little under 5'5" and the 30" inseam was a good length.
By Flojo93 from Brooklyn, NY on 10/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have two pair of the Carhartt canvas carpenter shorts which I bought at STP and love them. I got these pants in the same size but they do not have the same fit. So I unfortunately had to return them.
By sue the shopper from Virginia on 10/23/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Casual, Eclectic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a teacher who works with young children, I was looking for well made durable pants that could withstand weekly washings. These pants fit the bill! The pants are a little long on me but that was to be expected since I wear a petite size in clothing. These pants fit true to size.
