Carhartt- what else do you need to know? By Lovin' my job from Maine on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Color, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I teach special ed with kids who are pretty involved so need jean-like wearability in decent looking clothes. Most of my school pants are some form of Carhartts for that reason- plenty of pockets for "stuff", the pants stand up to tons of floor time, are comfortable and not so expensive that I fret when they get dirty or stained. Plus I maintain a professional-looking standard without wearing dress pants- which is also important. However, being a teacher (especially in Maine) also means I have a limited budget so I buy irregular, on sale and discount whenever I can. The quality remains the same regardless.
disappointing color and cut By outdoors woman from Durango on 10/21/2009 Pros: Durable, Quality Material Cons: High waist, Irregular Fit, Tight hips, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was disappointed by these pants. Carhartt makes great clothes, but these pants were cut too small in the hip and leg, had a very hight waist and although advertised as a golden khaki, they were a drab gray geen color. I sent them back.
love these hard working pants! By Lazy Acres Campground owner from Riverside, Wyoming on 10/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Best Uses: I wear these to work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these for work here and also need to look clean and sharp for greeting guests! Love the pockets!
By nevergone from Newberg, OR on 10/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Flattering, Great Color, Quality Material Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Gardening, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants fall nicely and are flattering. I am a natural 7 so 6 is too small and I have to get an 8. Usually, size 8 means I have to wear a belt because the waist falls too low. These sit comfortably on my hips. The butt feels baggy but looks flattering - no underwear lines. After I wear these for awhile to the office/school, they will be great gardening/work pants. The side leg pockets are great for holding business-card sized items or a cellphone. Roomy front pockets don't bulge when holding items. In the cold Fall wind, I barely felt any air on my legs; even with the thinner material (canvas compared to denim) it is made well for durability.
By brideofbigfoot from Klamath Falls, OR on 10/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Flattering Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love picking the inseam length. I'm unable to buy from most places because pants are just too short. Hurray for including tall women!
Cut small, had to re-order By Tim the female carpenter from Wyman ME on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Great Color Describe Yourself: Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Intended for heavy work jeans but were found to be very light weight. Cut small, had to re-order next larger size.
By project girl from Auberry, CA on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Fabric is not stiff Best Uses: Dog walks, Home improvement projects Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are such a great leap forward from the standard men's carhartts with the "foot-long zipper"! They sit just below my belly button and allow complete leg mobility (no droopy crotch seam, like you get when you sling the men's version low - much better for climbing ladders, etc). However, I must say that the men's carhartts are actually more flattering on me than these. These have an hourglass shape that my body does not, which results in the poofed-out hip and thigh look. I only wear these when I need some practical pants with lots of pockets, not to be 'seen' in.

I just ordered them too short or the inseam measure was off.
By Happy Carhartt Wearer from Charlotte, NC on 10/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Flattering Best Uses: Casual Wear, Yardwork Describe Yourself: Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Thank goodness I finally discovered Carhartts.
I have ordered three different styles and I love
them all. The fit is great and they feel good
wearing them. They aren't cut to be skintight
but I think I look good in them and like they
way I feel wearing them. I will wear them not
only for yard work but when I'm out and
about also. I dress casually but I think I have
a classic style and these suit me.
